How it works
The amount buys shares at the first close on or after the date you pick, and is valued at the latest close. Closes are monthly for the last 10 years and quarterly before that.
Value = Amount × Price today / Price then
Price only uses the close. With dividends uses the dividend-adjusted close, which assumes every dividend was reinvested. Per year is the compound annual growth rate of the value with dividends.
