After roughly fifteen flat years, US electricity output is rising again as data centers, electrified industry, and EV charging add load. The smoothed line strips out heating and cooling seasonality.

Prices for power and distribution transformers have risen roughly 80 percent since early 2020 after a flat prior decade: the clearest public proxy for the grid-equipment shortage.
