Boeing vs Airbus Deliveries by Year
The duopoly's scoreboard. Airbus has out-delivered Boeing every year since 2019, by as much as 418 aircraft in 2024, though Boeing's 600 deliveries in 2025 were its best since the 737 MAX grounding.
2026 Deliveries Month by Month
Boeing led on cumulative deliveries through April on a steadier monthly cadence, then Airbus overtook it in May. Airbus loads its deliveries toward the end of each quarter and each year, so the monthly gaps read as cadence rather than share.

Order Backlog by Program
16,030 aircraft on order at the end of June 2026, roughly a decade of production. The A320neo family and the 737 are 77 percent of it, which is why narrowbody delivery slots are effectively sold out into the 2030s.

Narrowbody vs Widebody Mix
Single-aisle jets are the volume engine and twin-aisles carry far more revenue per airframe. Airbus is the more narrowbody-weighted of the two on both deliveries and backlog, while Boeing's widebody share is nearly double.

Orders, Deliveries, and Book-to-Bill
Both airframers keep booking orders faster than they can build aircraft. That is the whole investment case for the sector, and the whole problem: the backlog grows because the factories cannot keep up, not because demand is newly strong.
